Privacy Policy
Peacefulday ("we") respects the privacy of people who use the Teleprompter app ("the app"). This policy explains what is collected and why.
1. Your scripts and recordings stay on your device
You don't need an account. Scripts you write or import, your settings, and the videos you record are stored on your device (videos in your photo gallery). A backup file you export goes only where you choose to save it. The only exception is cloud sync, which you can turn on yourself (section 2).
2. Cloud sync (optional, Pro)
If you sign in with Google or Apple in Settings → Cloud sync, the app keeps a copy of your scripts in your account so every phone and tablet you sign in on has the same library.

Only you can read your synced scripts. Reading positions, settings and recordings are never synced. You can sign out at any time, and Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account and every synced script (how to delete your account).
3. Information collected by services we use

4. Device permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition: only while voice tracking is on, to follow your voice through the script. Recognition is done by your phone's speech service (Google on Android, Apple on iPhone and iPad). When the language is available on the device, recognition happens on the device; otherwise that service may process the audio on its servers under its own privacy policy. We never record, store or receive the audio or the recognized text.
- Camera and microphone (recording): only on the recording screen, to film you. Videos are saved to your gallery and never uploaded by us.
- Photos (add only): to save your recordings to the gallery.
- Audio settings (Android): to silence the system beep some phones play each time listening restarts; sound is restored when voice tracking stops.
- Display over other apps (Android): only if you turn it on, to show the floating prompter over your camera or other apps. The app does not read what other apps show.
- Picture in Picture and background audio (iPhone, iPad): to keep the floating prompter scrolling over other apps. No sound is played or recorded.
- Local network (phone remote): while you use the phone remote, the app runs a small web page on your Wi-Fi that another phone opens by scanning a QR code. It only accepts the remote's button presses, uses a one-time key in the link, stops when you close the prompter, and nothing goes over the internet.
5. Third-party services
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics; and for cloud sync, Authentication and Cloud Firestore — synced scripts are stored in Seoul, South Korea). Data may be processed on servers in the United States. Firebase privacy
- Google AdMob: ads. Users in the EEA, UK and similar regions are asked for consent first; on iOS you are asked whether to allow tracking. How Google uses data
- Speech recognition: Google (Android) or Apple (iOS), as described above.
- Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple: only if you turn on cloud sync.
- Google Play Billing / Apple App Store: purchases.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention and deletion
What the app stores on your device is deleted when you uninstall it (videos saved to your gallery stay until you delete them). Cloud sync data is kept until you delete the scripts or your account (Settings → Delete account), which removes it immediately. Firebase keeps analytics data for up to 14 months. In regions where ad consent is required you can change your choice in the app under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of information about you at any time by contacting us below.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
